Monkey had her 6 month shots.. :(

she did good though. Only screamed for a minute or so after each shot..

Only 14 lbs now though..(not like i starve her or anything) but i don't know why she has only gained just over a pound in 2 months..

last checkup she was in the 25 percentile for height and weight..

now she is just under the 25 percentile for her age(health nurse said it was still ok though) and just over the 75 percentile for height..

She said it seems to be ok since she has just grown upward instead of outward..
long and lean baby basically.

my monkey isnt getting fat :(
i feel like im doing something wrong, but the nurse said it is still ok since she is growing in one way or another.. everything else is as it should be. except she never wants to sit(just straight to standing)and so she doesnt have the balance enough to sit up on her own yet..
but she is taking steps when she stands so, again, all seems to be going well.

Friggin kid seems to be making me feel like im doing something wrong at every turn lately.. lol

She bonked her head on mine today. :( :)
it was cute. she screamed of course.. but seemed to blame me for it.. she got excited when i was packing her and tried to attack my shoulder as i turned my head.. clunk!
after she screamed for a minute she watched some tv.. as soon as i said something to her she looked at me, started to pout, and then would cry again and push me away.. lol
she is my sensitive little butt :)

anyway, will stop rambling now.
The new xmas pics turned out ok.. pretty much the same poses(cause i liked them the first time around) but she smiled more for the camera..

being a happy girl the last few days.. not a lot of fussing or screaming for a change.. lol.

i dont know what it is exactly.. but my daughters cheeks and ears always smell like popcorn. Strange, i know. But she seriously smells like popcorn. I dont know if its just me, or she just smells like that, or it could be the combination of her skins scent with her formula.. but, I swear to god, my child smells like friggin popcorn( even after a bath) but only her cheeks and ears...
I keep thinking it must be me.. but luc said so today to,,,, so i dont know... just rambling on about it,,, but it weirds me out!! (popcorn baby!! yay!!)

Karma's Original Xmas Pics

We went into walmart on saturday and had her pics taken. Got a call yesterday saying something went wrong with the film.. so we had them retaken today.. thank god i got the originals on disc :) so here are the ones that were taken on saturday.. wont be exactly the same when i get the actual photo's though as we had to redo them.. (these ones turned out better i think though) :(

She is soooo cute, but I'm biased that way.. i am her mommy after all :)

Karma had her 4 month appointment today,

She is doing well.. still small (weight wise) for her age. only 11 pounds. (feels heavier on my shoulder though :) )
but she was only 5 lbs 11 oz at birth so so far its going just fine in that area...
but apparently she is tall for her age.. 65 cm.
So, as far as the weight goes she is in the 25 percentile.. while in the height thing she is in the 75 percentile..

Dr Botha (our family doc.)said looks like she is gonna be tall and slim.
lol.. just what i pictured her to be, taller than me, slender naturally, and blue eyed like i wanted to be.. :) little booger.
tall skinny blondish and blue eyed! and here is mommy, only 5'6" DARK brunette, hazel(shitbrown) eyes... and not totally skinny naturally. (most of the women in my family are on the larger side including me)
so, not sure where she is getting the height thing from(as not many in either side of the family are tall) and of course she got her colouring from her daddy.
lucky little booger, i hope she puts it to good use when she is older... (if you got it flaunt it i figure)
